Favouritism

Already he's showing favouritism and knows how to stretch out both hands showing his demand to be carried whenever me or my mother-in-law walk by.

Daddy's quite jealous and commented last night that he regretted moving Caden to another room as he 'lost' the opportunity to bond with him and be closer to him than he is right now.

In parenting, there's always the 'GOOD' parent and the 'BAD' parent. It is obvious who is which. I'm the good one cos I enjoy playing with him and letting him get away with almost whatever he wants to do. But there must be someone who plays the role of a disciplinarian. Who else could do that better than a teacher right?

But there's always opportunities in future for father and son to do MANLY things.

Walking

Caden is a very active and keen learner.

He has been practising to walk and learning to stand without support. It's quite fun watching him do it as he sometimes would appear to be running from one end of his playpen to the other.

I do hope he learns how to do it soon but that also means we'll have to start running after him.
